This is an acrylic painting of a cowboy guitar pickin' raccoon playing around the campfire with his mama horse and foal, cats and a bird listening to the ballads. There's coffee cooking on the campfire, trees and flowers all about, and moon peaking over the misty clouds.
Art is fun and has always been a passion for me. I began drawing seriously in my teens. In my twenties I began painting in oils and then learned watercolors in my thirties. In my forties I learned how to paint with gouache, and in my fifties taught myself colored pencils, then later on mastered acrylics. I've discovered for myself that painting miniatures (baseball card sizes ACEO's) are very successful for me. In between all of that I worked as a graphic designer/illustrator and and used Photoshop, Illustrator, and a number of other programs to create artwork. In the early 2000's I attended college where I learned 3D animation but my first love is using the paintbrush.
